How we write our database guides

These guides are published by plainDB, the database client described on this website. They are practical product documentation and educational articles, not independent product reviews.

Sources and examples

Technical articles link to the relevant PostgreSQL, SQLite or Supabase documentation. Example business tables and identifiers are illustrative unless explicitly identified otherwise. Replace them with your own schema and try unfamiliar operations in a disposable environment first.

Product claims

The feature matrix distinguishes Mac and Windows capabilities and known limitations. A general database command described in an article is not a promise of a dedicated plainDB button. Screenshots use synthetic sample data. Comparison pages identify plainDB's commercial interest and link to the other products' own documentation.

Review and corrections

Article dates describe publication and editorial review, not a claim that every example was benchmarked against every supported database version. We update the review date when the article changes substantively, rather than on each website deployment. Check the official documentation for the version and service configuration you use.

For corrections, use the contact details on the support page when available. Include the article URL, the relevant sentence, database version and a reproducible example without credentials or private data.
